Follow along with our step-by-step video guide to connect your WordPress site to BlogStorm.

1

Access Settings

Navigate to your BlogStorm dashboard and click on the Settings or Integrations section.

Look for the 'Integrations' or 'Connections' menu item in your account dashboard.

2

Select WordPress

Choose WordPress from the list of available integrations.

BlogStorm supports WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow. Select WordPress to continue.

3

Enter WordPress Credentials

You'll need your WordPress site URL and either:

  • Application Password (recommended): Go to WordPress Admin → Users → Your Profile → Application Passwords
  • OR WordPress Username and Password
  • For security, we recommend using Application Passwords rather than your main account password.
4

Test Connection

Click 'Test Connection' to verify that BlogStorm can connect to your WordPress site.

If successful, you'll see a confirmation message. If not, double-check your credentials and ensure your WordPress site is accessible.

5

Enable Auto-Publishing

Once connected, you can enable automatic publishing for your generated content.

You can choose to publish immediately or schedule posts using BlogStorm's drip feed tool.

💡 Important Notes

  • Application Passwords: For better security, use WordPress Application Passwords instead of your main account password. These can be revoked individually if needed.
  • REST API: Your WordPress site needs to have the REST API enabled (this is standard on all modern WordPress installations).
  • Permissions: The WordPress user account you use must have permission to publish posts (Editor or Administrator role).
  • Auto-Linking: Once connected, BlogStorm can automatically add internal links to your published content.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Connection Failed:

Verify your WordPress URL is correct (include https://), check that REST API is enabled, and ensure your credentials are valid.

Publishing Failed:

Check user permissions, ensure WordPress is updated, and verify that no security plugins are blocking the REST API.
